On November 13, 2011, thousands of Girl Scouts and their families will “bridge” from this century to the next by crossing both the George Washington and Benjamin Franklin bridges on foot. In June 2012, more than 25,000 participants will gather at Liberty State Park for a weekend
of celebration and service. In recognition of this important milestone, New Jersey’s four regional Girl Scout councils have joined together to produce several educational commemorative programs. A century in the making, the 100th Anniversary events will recognize the invaluable experience Girl Scouting provides and tell the story of all that is special about the Girl Scouts of New Jersey.
